Naughty Dog Announces ‘The Last Of Us’ Board Game

Video game juggernaut Naughty Dog has announced a partnership with Themeborne to produce The Last of Us: Escape the Dark.

Themeborne is originally known for their games Escape the Dark Castle and Escape the Dark Sector. Both games are renowned for their simple, but deep gameplay and mono-chromatic presentation. The Last of Us: Escape the Dark looks to be no exception.

The prototype shown gives us a good look at the detailed black and white artwork and the care give to Naughty Dog’s IP. Based on the look of the character cards for Joel and Ellie, this looks to take place during the franchise’s first installment. Though this is launching on Kickstarter, so additional characters and adventures are all but a given.

No other details have been provided aside from the notes that the Kickstarter will go live on November 8, 2022, and that there were will be a Collector’s Edition of the game made available as well.
