GenCon 2023 Preview: UVS Games
UVS Games, formally known as Jasco Games, have announced a slew of special promos at this week’s GenCon event.
First up, we have the “Ice Cream” alternate art promo cards for the My Hero Academia Collectible Card Game. Like last year, the cards will be available for free via different means throughout the weekend:
1st card - Complete the survey.
2nd card - Participate in a demo or show the staff your UGN account.
3rd card - Sow the staff that you follow UVS on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
4th & 5th cards - Post a photo with the promo cards to social media, tag UVS Games, and show the post to a staff member.
6th card - Play a side event at the Regional License Exam event.
Fun little aside - these cards will be the first cards to feature the newly redesigned card fronts (the back of the cards are yet to be seen).
The promos can also be obtained with the purchase of one of the GenCon 2023-exclusive playmats. They each feature the character art from the promos set against one of four different colored backgrounds.
If you are interested in a particular color, we highly recommend making the UVS Games’ booth one of your first stops this weekend. The previous years’ playmats have all sold out quickly.
Lastly, but certainly not least, they will be showing off the character cards from the recently announced Cowboy Bebop and Trigun: Stampede starter decks. Not only will there be the early previews, but participants in the Regional License Exam will receive both of these lovely looking playmats!
