‘Altar Quest’ Finds New Home With Steamforged Games

Steamforged Games has announced that they have acquired the rights to Altar Quest from Blacklist Games LLC. This acquisition adds another IP to Steamforged Games’ growing portfolio as it gives the company control over development and distribution of Altar Quest and all futures projects for the IP.

Altar Quest is a cooperative board game that have players exploring the realm of Aridika. Played as a one-off adventures or through a sprawling campaign, players dive into a modular dungeons inspired by classic dungeon crawler boardgames. Players will have to contend with enemies all around them while also dealing with the whims of unstable ‘altar magic’. With the combination of dungeon crawler and modern deck-building mechanics, the game offers an unique blend of strategy, cooperation, and exploration.

Altar Quest is for 1 to 4 players and plays in roughly 90 minutes. The current edition of the game is still available at retail, though it remains to be seen what the price of the new version will be.
