A ‘Winter’s Reckoning’ Descends on ‘Godtear’
Steamforged Games have announced a new competitive campaign kit for their popular Godtear skirmish game.
The Godtear: Winter’s Reckoning Organized Play Kit brings the battle to the Eternal Glade, where an unnatural winter is creeping over the land. The campaign is designed for up to 8 players and acts a thematic backdrop to allow players and organizers the freedom to craft their own stories within the Godtear universe.
Aside from the new rules, each campaign kit includes new and updated cards for all of the Godtear champions (up to Skullbreaker). As the game progress and players find godtears during the campaign, they will level up their champions and gain level ups as the campaign rolls on. Players can mark the location of their enemies’ defeat (or their own) on location-specific battlemats using special blood-splatter stickers.
Finally, the kit includes special double-sided acrylic tokens to replace the cardboard components of the starter sets.

176 Champion upgrade cards
8 double-sided dashboards (featuring Winter’s Reckoning and Skullbreaker art)
32 Chapter cards
9 Ending cards
4 Battlefield mats
4 Blood-splatter sticker pats
8 pairs of red acrylic tokens (16 in total)
The Winter’s Reckoning kit as a whole looks like a fun and fantastic way to bring a level of competitive play to an already fun game. Players are encouraged to reach out to their favorite local game stores to let them know that there is an interest in running these events.
