‘WONDRLND TCG’ Launches Kickstarter

A new trading card game has launched on Kickstarter called WONDRLND TCG.

The game of WONDRLND pits players against one another in epic duels. Players will fight one another using a variety of cards, such as “Champions” and “Trigger Spell Cards”, to reduce their opponent’s Life Points to 0 (from a starting total of 8,000). Decks will be comprised of 40-60 cards, and can include optional Side and Extra Decks. The gameplay looks rather interesting, with cards like the various “Handler” cards offering powerful, one-time use effects to help turn the tides of the battle.

The thing that caught our eye about this particular project is the artwork. We are absolute suckers for beautiful art on our cards, especially if the art is of an anime/manga influence. Every card we’ve seen so far looks as though it could be the cover of a best-selling manga or light novel.

As of the time of this writing, the WONDRLND TCG Kickstarter is at $23,363 of its needed $50,000 goal. The campaign still has 26 days to go, so we are sure it’ll make that goal. Interestingly, according to the project’s Risk and Challenges section, the cards are done and would be ready to begin fulfilling Kickstarter pledges as early as next month.
