Black Site Studios’ ‘Hametsu’ Preorders Are Live

Black Site Studios have launched their latest miniature game, Hametsu, through their Backroom program.

Set in a post-apocalyptic feudal Japan, Hametsu puts players in the role of Hunters, demon slaying warriors. During the game, players will be tracking a mythical boss while trying to avoid various wandering Oni. Players will create their own Hunters with different abilities and playstyles that they will level up as the game progresses. The game was design as a narrative campaign play experience, but players can jump into randomly generated scenarios as well.

The campaign currently offers three bundle tiers for players to get in on:

The Tier 1 Bundle includes the hardcover rule book, a PDF of the rule book, an exclusive miniature, and a measuring gauge. It does not include any of the unlocks and gifts that roll out during the campaign.

Ideally, this tier would be for anyone who might have the miniatures and terrain already in their collections. Otherwise, one of the other tiers would be more beneficial.

The Tier 1 Bundle is currently $59.99.

The Tier II Bundle includes everything in the Tier I Bundle, as well as 9 Core Hunter miniatures and 6 Boss miniatures. This tier includes all physical unlocks, but no digital unlocks, that roll out during the campaign.

This tier would be ideal for the casual player looking to get into the game. There are plenty of miniatures represented in this package, with more being added via physical stretch goals.

The Tier II Bundle is $149.99 currently, jumping to $204.97 after the campaign ends.

Finally, the Tier III Bundle is a massive package. It includes everything from the previous tiers, as well as several pieces of gorgeous MDF terrain including a Mill; a Zen Garden; a Watchtower; Fountains, and a Castle. This tier includes all bonus physical items.

This tier is ideal for the player or play group that wants to get sucked into feudal Japan and all the monster slaying that visit will bring.

The Tier III Bundle is currently $399.99, down from its normal $506.92.

They also have a Digital Bundle that is made available that can be added to the existing physical bundles. This includes a PDF of the rule book, STL files for the 9 Hunter miniatures, STL files for the 6 Boss miniatures, and STL files for various other lesser demons/oni. Any other digital unlocks that come out during the campaign will be added to it as well, though none of the physical rewards will be. This bundle is $95 but will require access to a 3D printer to be of any use to a playgroup.

Finally, Black Site Studios have several additional purchase add ons that players can add to their bundles to fully flesh out their games of Hametsu. There are two sets of Resin One miniatures - a Champion pack of 9 miniatures ($34.99) and a Raiding Party pack of 20 miniatures ($49.99). Along with these additional miniatures, players can purchase all sorts of feudal Japan inspired terrain and scatter terrain to build an authentic board.

The preorder will last until February 21st.
