The King Of Monsters Joins UniVersus
UVS Games have detailed the upcoming Challenger Series featuring Godzilla and friends, as well as a couple of new properties joining the fight.
The Godzilla Challenger Series will feature two ready-to-play decks. The first one will team up the King of Monsters with Mother and Mechagodzilla, Kiryu, while the second deck features King Ghidorah joining forces with Rodan and Mechagodzilla, Bionic Menace. Like the previously released Cowboy Bebop and Trigun Challenger Series decks, each deck will include a special collector booster featuring unique alternate art. The fighters in these collector boosters feature a Japanese-inspired block print art style.
The Godzilla Challenger Series decks will be available starting June 21, 2024.
Additionally, UVS Games have announced two new properties to the world of UniVersus.
First, for science fiction fans, UniVersus will head to the stars as the beloved Star Trek franchise enters the arena. The Star Trek: Lower Decks Challenger Series brings the hit cartoon’s Starfleet crew to the game across four unique Challenger Series decks. UVS will also be release Star Trek Star Realms, a collaboration with Star Realms from Wise Wizards. The deckbuilding game, featuring starships from Star Trek: Next Generation will be available in Q3 of 2024.
Lastly, in a return to form, UVS Games will release a brand new set based on TEKKEN 8. UniVersus (formally UFS) made a name for itself as the premiere fighting gaming tcg and now a new fighting video game IP is coming to the table top. Details are a bit non-existent at the moment for this one, but keep an eye on all of UVS Games’ social media accounts for future details.
