Take The ‘High Ground’ In ‘Star Wars: Shatterpoint’

Atomic Mass Games revealed two terrain kits for the upcoming Star Wars: Shatterpoint miniature game.

Both boxes include terrain that was originally featured in the announcement video.

The High Ground Terrain features a multi-level section of an industrial area or some sort of ship yard. The section is highly detailed, with monitors; little nodes scattered about; and various letters to the different levels. It looks to come with a couple pieces of scatter terrain, like crates and a small rock slab.

Speaking of scatter terrain, the Take Cover Terrain Pack looks to offer just that. Multiple rock formations, power generators and a satellite relay look to offer players a chance to add some character to their future boards. There are some little details that really stand out, like the speeder bike and little droid.

Currently, unfortunately, we don’t have any more details beyond that. It is nice to get some sort of glimpse into what we are getting with the game’s Summer 2023 release, but we need some more concrete information. Does the starter include any terrain? How important is terrain? Given the focus on the terrain’s multiple levels, does it share Marvel Crisis Protocol’s rules with coverage and movement, or does Star Wars: Shatterpoint use a more technical true line of sight? How big of a board will we be playing on? Most importantly - How much?

Needles to say, we are excited for this game and are eager for as much information as possible. Hopefully we’ll have that sooner rather than later.
