‘Epic Encounters’ Goes Prehistoric With Massive Release
Steamforged Games have begun taking preorders on their latest Epic Encounter releases - Nest of the Dinosaur and Steppe of the Lizard Thane.
The Epic Encounters: Nest of the Dinosaur features a gargantuan, two-headed dinosaur miniature. The “miniature” is set on a massively detailed 100mm base. The box also includes a double-sided game mat and adventure book. The adventure book includes all the monster stats and details needed to run it as a one-off adventure or allow it to be combined with any 5e-compatible RPG adventure.
Epic Encounters: Nest of the Dinosaur is currently available for preorder on the Steamforged Games’ webstore or at local game stores. The set’s MSRP is $50.00.
Meanwhile, the Epic Encounters: Steppe of the Lizard Thane contains a warband of lizards ready to take an adventuring party or be combined with the Nest of the Dinosaur to make a bigger challenge. The set includes 18 reptilian miniatures (featuring 6 unique sculpts), double-sided game mat, and adventure book. Again, players can combine this with their existing 5e-compatible campaigns or run it as a one-shot.
Epic Encounters: Steppe of the Lizard Thane is available for preorder on Steamforged Games’ webstore or through a local game store. The set’s MSRP is $54.95.
Both Nest of the Dinosaur and Steppe of the Lizard Thane are due to release on May 22, 2023. The previous entries into the Epic Encounters line, The Cove of the Dragon Turtle and Island of the Crab Archon, were among our favorite game releases of 2022. We can only imagine that these will rank highly with us in 2023. Besides, who doesn’t love a massively detailed, two-headed dinosaur?
