Bandai Announces Multi-Property TCG ‘Union Arena’

This one came a bit out of left field for us. Bandai has announced Union Arena, a multi-property trading card game.

The game looks to be rather similar to Weiss Schwarz, Bushiroad’s own multi-property trading card game. Union Arena brings together several popular anime titles from the likes of Hunter X Hunter to Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. The game will launch in Japan in March 2023 with starter decks and boosters for Hunter X Hunter, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Code Geas: Lelouch of the Rebellion. Each starer deck includes a 53 card pre-constructed deck and a rule sheet, while each booster contains 8 randomly inserted calls and an index card.

In April 2023, Union Arena will release starter decks and boosters for Demon Slayer and The IdolM@ster Shiny Colors. Starters and boosters for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, Tales of Arise, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will drop in May 2023. Finally, in June 2023, starters and boosters for My Hero Academia will release.

Obviously we will be covering this as the more information comes out. While there is no word on an English release as of yet, but we’re hoping to hear something more about that as we get closer to release.
