‘Miniatures Of The Multiverse’ Update
It has been a moment since we originally talked about our Miniatures of the Multiverse event, which means a proper update is in order. Some things have been going to plan, others not so much. Along the way since launch, we have made some decisions that are the result of feedback and engagement that we think will be for the best. So let us dive in and get see what has been happening and where we go from here.
Originally the plan was to do “phases” of content release, with each one focusing on a different theme of miniature gaming. That plan quickly crumbled as timetables weren’t lining up with deadlines, deliveries, and communications. Along the way, we also got a few surprise additions to our line up that wouldn’t fit into one phase or another. So, after some internal discussion and feedback from our amazing audience, the decision has been made - we are making Miniatures of the Multiverse an on-going feature of The Late Night Players.
As we began digging and diving into all the different miniature ranges and game systems out there it became abundantly clear that just devoting a small portion of our content to these as a one-and-done feature wouldn’t work. From the fantastic rules to the fun we are having painting the miniatures, it isn’t hard to see that we think this will be a much more enjoyable format that cramming it all into a mega event. All that not withstanding, the companies that have worked with us over the last couple months have been a pure joy to work with and we want to continue showcasing their amazing lines.
So what have we been up to recently?
June was a little taken over by Privateer Press and Warmachine MK IV. We did a couple unboxing of their preview boxes, a painting tutorial for the Khador Great Bear Warjack, and a basing tutorial featuring Huge Miniatures’ Texture Paste and Weathering Powder. If you follow us on Twitch, we also hosted a hobby hangout where we were painting the Deepborn Dire Troll from the upcoming Southern Kriels Brineblood Marauders army.
We’ll have a handy quick link at the top of the page for all Miniature of the Multiverse specific content here on the website so that it can be gathered in a single place. We relaunched our Patreon with the hopes of using the subscription funds to upgrade our equipment for proper battle reports, as well as potentially launching a podcast. There isn’t really anything there, yet, but that is because we are discussing what to offer in it. The goal is to never have any exclusive content hidden behind a paywall, but we know that there has to be an incentive. We’re just not sure what that is yet.
From all of us at The Late Night Players, we sincerely hope you are as excited about this as we are. We already have a lot in store for the site and Youtube, so be on the look out for it!
